Pledge

Dear UU Members and Friends,

It’s that time again…we are approaching our annual membership meeting on April 24th, and we are writing to update you on the status of your Fellowship, to present a proposed budget for the July 1, 2022-June 30, 2023 fiscal year, and to ask for your support of that budget with a pledge.

Despite the challenges of the past two years, including continuing to navigate the Covid-19 pandemic and vacating St. Paul’s Church due to its closure, we have kept our Fellowship connected through online services. The best news is that we have found a new physical home at the Klamath Falls Friends (Quaker) Church on Oregon Avenue. Many thanks to the stalwart group of UUs who have pulled us through this time and into a new beginning.

Additional good news is that we will again have an intern minister for our 22-23 church year, in collaboration with the Rogue Valley UU Fellowship and the Grants Pass UU Fellowship. Intern minister QuianaDeNae Perkins will provide us with one service a month along with pastoral care. QuianaDeNae lives in Michigan so her services will be through Zoom, but she hopes to visit our three Fellowships in person during the year… we look forward to welcoming her in Klamath Falls.

We held our first in-person service in two years on March 13th in our new location. About a dozen UUs attended and about the same on Zoom. It was wonderful to actually be together again in our own meeting space! We will soon upgrade our technology so we can offer high-quality streaming for those who want or need to remain online. We will continue to hold hybrid services on the 2nd and 4th Sundays, with Zoom only on the 1st and 3rd. As we have all learned, the public health situation is very fluid, and we should all be ready to “flex” when needed!

The proposed budget is enclosed as well as a pledge form on the back of this letter for you to return, letting us know how much support you are able to provide the Fellowship over the upcoming year. The budget reflects operating options for both in-person and online only. To assist our planning and to provide us the most flexibility, we urge you to return the form as soon as you can. Thank you for your past support, and thank you for being a UU member…we look forward to hearing from you, and to seeing you at the annual meeting.
